Jason Vance II is a 2026 graduate of Virgina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production Technology with plans to make music for video games. He has been swimming since he was about six years old. Jason started taking lessons at the Newport News YMCA, swam with the Northampton Marlins, and competed with Kecoughtan High School's swim team. Most recently, with GPSA, he coached at Elizabeth Lake. Jason also teaches swim lessons at the Hampton Family YMCA. Jason is focused on identifying and addressing ways to help swimmers improve their strokes.
His interests include music (listening and playing), movies, games (video, card, and board), critical thinking, philosophy, and joking/having a good laugh!
Meghan Lewis is an incoming senior at Hampton University and a member of the women's triathlon team. She competes in swim, bike, and run, and has a love for swimming. Meghan swam for the Riverdale Rays for 2 seasons and was a part of the Bethel High School swim team. She also served as the assistant coach at Bethel during the 2024-2025 season. Meghan is excited to be the assistant coach for the Riverdale Rays.
Julia has been swimming for Riverdale for 6 seasons. She is graduating this June and plans to attend VCU in the fall to study social work.
Julia is super excited to be a Junior Coach this summer because she loves helping swimmers feel improve, feel comfortable in the water, and most importantly, have fun! Julia is looking forward to getting to know everyone and helping make this a great season.
